In celebration of Kopperhead’s 30th Anniversary, we are proud to announce the sixth major upgrade of our Master Control Room with installation of the following:

• Pro Tools HD version 7 software adds significantly more power. A ton of new features and enhancements deliver significantly expanded audio and MIDI recording and editing capabilities, greater mixing power and flexibility, enhanced efficiency, and improved ease of use.

The Control 24 mixing interface incorporates 24 touch-sensitive motorized faders and dedicated switches letting one record and mix very efficiently in Pro Tools, and its extensive analog routing section means this controller/preamp/router is the centerpiece of a Pro Tools rig. Each control strip offers the functionality of a multi-function knob (which defaults to pan), dedicated buttons to open dynamics or EQ plug-ins assigned to that particular channel, and switches for mute, solo, record arm, etc. Even the most complex Pro Tools functions can be turned into a series of simple steps, offering incredible freedom in recording and letting those us of used to working on an analog console concentrate on making music rather than navigating screens. The Control 24 is far more than just a world class control surface. It contains 16 award-winning Class A discrete transistor-based preamps, the Focusrite Platinums. These are not your run of the mill inputs and are known for smooth, flat response and great sound

To complement the expanded power and quality of the Pro Tools HD system, we have chosen Digidesign's high-definition 192 Input/Output interface. This unit breaks new ground in sound quality and performance, and supports sampling rates up to 192 kHz. It provides a multitude of connection options and offers 16 simultaneous channels of high-definition I/O to choose from, including 16 channels of pristine analog I/O, 16 channels of ADAT digital, 8 channels of AES/EBU digital, 8 channels of TDIF digital, and 2 channels of AES/EBU, ADAT or S/PDIF digital. All of these can utilize the real-time sample rate converter chips for streaming digital signals with any sample rate into a Pro Tools session. With the 192 I/O, interface, the full power of the Pro Tools HD system is available.

Digidesign's MIDI I/O multi-port peripheral includes 10 MIDI inputs and outputs for a total of 160 channels, and features a hardware thru mode, allowing you to patch any number of inputs to any number of the unit's outputs without the need to access your computer. MIDI I/O supports MIDI Time-Stamping for superb timing accuracy and precision.

Digidesign's ReVibe Reverb plug-in is a full-featured mono, stereo and surround reverb plug-in that includes an extensive set of room-modeling controls. Engineered to take full advantage of the increased power and memory of the new 321 DSP chips residing on the HD Accel card, ReVibe gives Pro Tools TDM users a reverb-modeling tool designed to handle any reverberation task. The 96 kHz-capable ReVibe provides eight entirely new reverb algorithms combined with an extensive collection of room reflection models. Its innovative Room Modeling algorithms allow combinations of different room reflections and coloration, and are presented in an easy-to-use preset manager embedded within the user interface.
